Pod-like fruit, 21 to 1.5 × 0.3 cm, oblong, brown, with black seeds.
I always saw small specimens of this species, and I even thought it was a type of dwarf juqueri, but in the most conserved fragments of cerrado I saw huge specimens and if before I was a giant close to this plant, now I was tiny. The simple plant proved to be a potency for use in landscaping, with its yellowish color reflecting the sunlight, and forming an impressive view, for those who are keen in knowing how to use and have space.
Distribution: From São Paulo to Rio Grande do Sul, in areas of dense rain forest even in areas of cerrado, as well as roadside.
Situation in São Paulo: Found in fragments of cerrado, forming or not dense massifs.
How to plant: The seedlings are easily found in vacant and marginal lands in the city, just remove with the root ball taking care of their roots. It is preferable to do this with small seedlings of about 30 cm. Water daily until they start to develop.
Uses: Plant of great beauty, stands out due to its velvet texture and golden color throughout the plant. It blooms and bears fruit practically all year round, which can give it a prominent position as an ornamental plant.
